On Wednesday, September 16, and Thursday, September 17, 2026, the Bologna Exhibition Centre will host the Next Africa Design Event. The event is dedicated to the B2B sector and was created as a platform connecting the excellence of Italian design with the fast-growing African markets.
Its goal is to bring together and directly connect Italian manufacturers with those developing large-scale projects across the African continent. Next Africa Design Event is in its first edition and aims to attract the attention of industry professionals operating on both sides of the Mediterranean.
Unlike other major trade fairs, the heart of the Next Africa Design Event lies in its scheduled bilateral meetings. The two-day event will be optimised to foster concrete business partnerships and supply contracts, offering Italian companies streamlined and curated access to markets that are often difficult to approach independently.
Next Africa Design Event is designed to connect two distinct categories:
- Buyers from Africa: architects, real estate developers, contractors, major distributors, and investors from African countries with the highest development potential;
- Exhibitors from Italy: furniture companies, manufacturers of home technology, lighting brands, and suppliers of interior and exterior solutions.
